Lee's Sandwiches, Houston, TX

Lee's is a good place to visit.
This is especially true if you are curious about Houston's Chinatown area but are not familiar with it.
If this is the case, start with Lee's.

Make it your "gateway" to Chinatown.
It is a fun and unique place to visit. That being said, there are some quirky things a first-time visitor should know about.

Inside of Lee's on Bellaire Blvd. in Houston, TX
1. Cash only. No credit cards accepted. This caught me off guard the first time I visited.

2. I found the menu a bit confusing at first (until I found some of my favorite items). Could not identify what was where or even what was on each sandwich for example. The good news and bad news is that the menu has several options.

3. For an English-speaking person, the first few visits may be challenging. Much of the staff are Asian and had noticeable accents or limited English-speaking ability when I visited.

Their biggest plus is the menu variety they offer:

1. Ice Cream
2. Fresh-baked bread
3. Sandwiches
4. Pastries
5. Coffee
6. Italian Sodas
7. and more...

Lee's is actually a franchise chain. I normally don't write about these but this place is cool enough for me to make an exception.
