Lamache's setting in the historic Jefferson Hotel really adds to the experience. The entry to the restaurant is through the main lobby of the hotel which feels like a step back in time.


The evening meal has the tables lit by candlelight. The candlelight is is nice but I actually had trouble reading the menu because it was a bit dark. Enter my daughter to the rescue with the iPhone flashlight app. I like atmosphere and experience but there is a practical aspect to consider as well. 


The food was good and well presented. The pricing is mid-range. Our server was friendly.

Overall, this is a nice place to dine. The ambiance carries the day.
