Veronica's Cafe, Carencro, La

Close to Interstate 49 and REALLY Good!

When I find a place that is really doing something special, I like to highlight that. Veronica's Cafe is one of those places. I was pleased with the food an impressed with the customer service. .

Anyone driving near Exit #4 (Hector Connoly Rd.) on Interstate 49 around lunch time would be well advised to give the place a try..

The plate lunches are "real-deal", "down-home", and just plain good! Each day, a different set of plate lunch specials are offered along with a standard menu of po-boys, sandwiches, burgers, etc. The food is served on paper plates and "real" silverware if you dine-in.

I counted 9 tables in the place and what seemed like at 90 people and hour stopping in for takeout orders or drive through service.

I found the service to be exceptionally friendly and it was very obvious that the people behind the counter are working hard for their customers.

This place appears to be well-known locally and is certainly worth trying for anyone passing through the area.
